Because it contains no oil, White Lightning does not absorb dirt and grime. Original White Lightning goes on wet for deep penetration, but then quickly forms a dry, clean, lubricating wax film. As a result, bike parts and especially drivetrain components work better and last longer. It seems like a great lube if you want your chain to stay dry, BUT it is best applied to a NEW super-clean chain or else you'll only be bonding dirt to your chain permanently. Meaning... super hot water and even getting on your hands and knees with a toothbrush wont take this stuff off. It's pretty much permanent.
