Used this in the pool to test at first and it worked fine there. Camera will sink immediately without this device. Subsequently went to Kauai and tried it out in the ocean and again, worked perfectly even in the salt water. Note that i never squeezed the product in the water (some people have said that causes the device to fill up with water). Point being - don't be stupid and squeeze it. The string (as i call it) that connects the float to the camera seems really flimsy, but it held up fine. Just be careful of friction outside of the water. Bright color is very easy to see. One thing to note is that one has to be careful when taking pictures with this device on, as it may occasionally float into the point of view and thus end up in your picture, but for the mostpart, it stayed straight up and didn't impair my picture taking much. Definitely a great piece to have so you don't have to worry about your $300 camera going down into 50 feet of water, or worse.

Great buy for the price. Must have for open waters.

The loop is too small to attach the float strap to the camera without having to McGyver it. It is too big to fit securely on my wrist - even with my big (for a woman) hands. I will be returning this strap. Given the cost of a waterproof camera and the value of the pictures it stores I am not willing to gamble on such a poorly engineered, poor quality float strap.

I took a look at this product in a store prior to purchasing it. There is no way the orange band would cinch around my wrist. Even getting it to stay on my upper arm was a challenge, and that was just on dry land. I'm sure things would loosen up further in the water.

I didn't get to test whether or not it floats. Assuming it floats and gets your camera to float with it, I would recommend buying this only if you have large hand/wrist OR if you have a separate, tighter wrist band to secure your camera to your wrist.

This strap works perfectly for the Olympus Stylus SW 1030 camera. The strap is just the right size to float the camera to the surface, easily visible, not too large and bulky.

the strap is perfect for outdoors activity, specially the ocean, you no longer have to worry about losing your camara, it floats perfectly.
