Avid Sony Walkman user (Rating: 1 out of 5) This is my 3rd Sony Walkman. The other 2 haven't stopped working. I got into a bike accident wearing one, and the armband broke off. The other is fine. It's just older. I purchased this one because I thought my older one stopped working when it got soaked in the rain. When it dried, it was fine. There is no comparison between this version and the previous 2. This one doesn't rank at all. I always stayed with Sony because of the reception, but this has horrible reception. The previous 2 Sonys can keep my set FM stations with maybe some fuzz here and there, but it's livable during my workout. This one has more fuzz than anything. I can't workout with it. I had to use the T.V. tuner just to listen to some clarity. The other problem I have with it is the way to get presets. Because they made this a more compact model, they took away the numbered buttons. Now to get a preset, a couple of buttons have to be pressed and it helps to see the tuner screen to see which preset is which. The problem is that I bought this to use for my jogs, and it's too difficult to manipulate the buttons while in constant movement. So I feel that I've wasted my money with this because I can't use it for the exercise purpose for which I bought it.
Nada de otro mundo... (Rating: 3 out of 5) Los audifonos son excelentes y tienen muy buen sonido.
Sony Walkman Radio with arm band. (Rating: 3 out of 5) This is a good price for this unit. I like it except I had trouble tuning some FM stations in clearly. One really strong local station is the worst one. There is so much static and directional stuff I usually turn it off. I've reset it many times to no avail.
Not worth the price (Rating: 3 out of 5) Purchased this product keeping in mind the Sony quality for audio devices but was a bit unhappy that the product did not match my expectations.
Pros:
1. Manual Locking (Does not lock the volume)
2. Sturdy design
3. Weather Band
Cons:
1. Supplied Headset does not reproduce the best audio
2. At lowest volume setting, the product plays audio on right side only and then as volume is increased the audio play on the left side (This may be an individual product defect)
3. Customer service is forthcoming but the process itself flawed as you have to send the headset to them a receive a new replacement if within 30 days or get a refurbished one if reporting after over 30 days.
Recommendation:
Bought a Sandisk Sansa fully digital set and it plays MP3s, FM (No weather band) for $9.99 (refurbished) and I have better satisfaction level with that due to the value for money
good option for the price (Rating: 4 out of 5) If all you want is a radio for exercise or around the house, this works fine. Reception can definitely be fuzzy, but that's to expect when you're not always in an easy reception area.
Earphones work great for small kids, too.
