Product DescriptionProtect the LCD of your a (alpha) A200 DSLR camera with these convenient sheets. They add life to your LCD by reducing the amount of wear and tear and keeping dust and fingerprints from coming in direct contact with the surface.
Works as expected (Rating: 3 out of 5) A little pricey for a piece of plastic, but it does what its intended to do. Snaps into place really easy and doesn't look awkward. Although dust or dirt can get under the plastic which may scratch the LCD so if you are really worried about that, stick to the adhesive films which do the same job and are cheaper
Works but unbelievably expensive (Rating: 4 out of 5) This has got to be the product with the greatest profit margin to Sony. It is nothing but a rectangular piece of clear plastic with two notches that fit the Sony Alpha 200.
You definitely need this, especially if you wear the camera strap around your neck. Without this, the LCD screen will rub against buttons/zippers, and will soon scratch. The actual product is great -- I mean how difficult can it be to make a rectangular piece of plastic?
I think Sony should have included this with the camera at no additional cost. It probably cost them a dime to make, and they sell it for more than 100 times the cost.
The frugal minded can try a different approach: if you already have PDA screen protectors, cut one to fit the LCD screen and save yourself the extra expense.
Custom fit your screen, but too costly (Rating: 3 out of 5) Will protect your screen from scratches. However they are richly priced. Over $10 for a piece of plastic. Their margin must be over 99%!
LCD Screen Protector (Rating: 5 out of 5) A very valuable asset to the camera. Offers good protection. Easy to install! Highly recommend to anyone with an "unprotected" LCD.
A true rip off (Rating: 2 out of 5) It's a piece of plastic worth $0.99 and it costs $12. Go figure, it does protect the plastic that protects your LCD but it is a rip off at this price. Here's hoping another manufacturer makes a clone...
