Hasn't been show really work. However, for some individuals, in their minds, it appears to work.

Prior to discovering Airborne products, I would get sick several times a year and it would linger to the point where it felt like I was sick more often than I was healthy. It turned me into a nutcase about germs and sick people and washing my hands like I had Lady Macbeth syndrome or something... but Airborne *appears* to have helped me immensely! Every time I think I feel that little tickle in the back of my throat that's usually a precursor to a cold or if I've been around someone with the flu I start pounding Airborne and I don't get sick! Even with my five-year-old germ factory coughing all over me I manage to stay (relatively) healthy... whether it's a placebo effect or if it's real, who cares? You know, gift horses, mouths, all that... sure, it's expensive, but it's worth being able to call in sick without always really being sick. Besides, it goes great in booze and seems to decrease hangover symptoms! (results may vary)
