Customer Reviews

If you like bass at all.... stay AWAY!  (Rating: 2 out of 5)

First of all, I didn't really expect too much from these headphones as they are usually only a hundred bucks or less. My usual headphones include a pair of ultimate ears and bose on ear headphones, so I have a decent knowledge of audio headphones. Second, I have quite a good ear for sound and appreciate quality/detail but also appreciate good bass (I think great bass and detail are the holy grail of headphones).

Pros:
-Absolutely amazing fit. Shures are the absolute best when it comes to sound isolation and fit. They will feel awkward at first when you put them in but after a couple minutes when the foam fills out to your ear they will feel excellent and isolate sound just as good. Everyone has different ears but the foam pieces ensure that all ear canals will be equally filled in. Kudos to shure for this.
-Decent high frequency and mid frequency sound, but almost too much of an emphasis on the higher frequencies.

Cons:
-Absolutely the worst bass I have ever heard from any headphones. Period. The stock iPod buds even have a world of bass more than these. There are headphones that don't have much bass but are still acceptable to listen to but these make any type of music with the slightest bass unbearable to listen too.

I returned the pair immediately due to the lack of bass. A MUCH MUCH better alternative to this are the Sennheiser 300's and those are only like $[...]. I would stick with those unless you wanna hit the $150 mark and buy the Ultimate Ear headphones or the much higher end Shures (the 530's are heaven). Hope this helps everyone!

Rocking only if you are experimental   (Rating: 4 out of 5)

After months of research on earbuds, I finally decided to go with SE110. Before I begin, I should mention that I already own V-moda's bass freqs and vibes, which honestly sounds better if you compare it by higher notes.

After playing with them for about a week or so, I must have to say, these earbuds sounds amazing, although they lack of bass, but if you are a person who rather loves details in the music rather than bass, you will love them.

Though you have to play with them to get perfect level of isolation and so does the sound.

But BEWARE, if you are the one who likes to hear more higher notes likes me (17KHz and up) which mostly includes all punchy bass beats, you wont get satisfied with these, for that I highly recommand V-moda's bass freqs (abt $30), which I own and I love (perhaps more than these pairs).

One More Thing, If you have unusual shaped ears like me, (I have big bat ears), they wont look good on you nor they wont give you that level of comfort which shure promises. To resolve this issue, you can go with shure's E2c, which as my friends says are smaller and made for almost all ears.

Pros:

-Very well constructed, and durable.
-Includes all the necessary accessories. (All of the Shure earbuds does)
-As mentioned above, sounds terrific.

Cons:
-Significanly lacks of bass, may be thats because I am used to with V-moda, some people may get desired level of bass from these pairs.
-Looks bigger than usual erbuds, even if its worn over the ear.
-If you have unusual ears like me, you wont find it comfortable.

In conclusion, I am not 100% satisfied, but as an audiophile, they're important part of my collection.

Not even close to worth the price  (Rating: 2 out of 5)

I got these headphones today and I'm returning them tomorrow. Compared to the stock iPod buds, these are terrible. Absolutely no bass and weak highs. Even playing with ALL EQ settings on my Nano, I couldn't get these to sound good. Given the sound quality, you'd think these were $5 cheapos. I'm getting tired of dealing with the iPod buds foam covers ripping all the time, but given how great they sound (especially compared to the SE110) I might as well save my money and order new pads instead. Don't even bother with these.

Works great for reducing noise  (Rating: 5 out of 5)

I wanted something that would block out the noise of the subway and allow me to listen to my Ipod at a reasonable volume during my commute. These headphones work perfectly for that. Once the foam expands in your ears, outside noise is greatly reduced. You really notice how noisy your surroundings are and how well the foam works when you take the earbuds off.

fantastic deal great sound  (Rating: 5 out of 5)

Listen you can read the reviews where everyone nit picks the item to death, but all most of us want to know is "are they good and do they fit comfortable?". let me tell you shure has been around for quite awhile producing studio quality headphones so to say the sound isn't good is kind of stupid. The sound is awesome! for 98% of us out there, wearing these you feel as though you are on the sound stage. the bass the crispness are all there. the included ear inserts allow you to completely customize the fit to your ear canal. so unless you have hearing like a bat or as one reviewer put it "freak of nature ear canals" you will love these headphones. I have tried over thirty different brands and types of in the ear HP's and these always come up as my favorites.
