Product Description

Providing an unrivaled level of authenticity, NBA LIVE 08 introduces hot spots, using real NBA shot data to illuminate the locations on the floor where your players are most effective. Couple this with all-new signature go-to moves that capture the essence of the NBA's best, and you can now play the game on a console like you see it from the stands. All-new shooting mechanics - from deep three-point shots well beyond the arc to 10-foot jump shots in the paint, every shot attempt has been redesigned to provide more fluid, realistic results. Whether you're working on your game in the revamped practice gym, or playing in front of a packed house, feel what it's like to be an NBA superstar. ESRB Rated E for Everyone

Customer Reviews

NBA live 08  (Rating: 4 out of 5)

I only bought it for the roster updates. Controls are a little new. Prefer that of 07 but its manageable.

terrible b-ball simulation  (Rating: 2 out of 5)

the control itself sucks - passing is akward, shots look weird, players don't move like they do in real life when setting up a play...graphics are disappointing as well...i liked nba live 05 better than this game...it seems to be choppy and doesn't flow like a bball game should

It was OK  (Rating: 3 out of 5)

The game play felt forced for lack of a better word the movements didn't feel smooth and in certain situations they were even a bit jerky, instead of the usual slow forced action. but once you get used to it (and change the default gameplay settings) it is a very nice game.

NBA Live 08 is ok  (Rating: 3 out of 5)

I've played this game for a few weeks now so obviously I'm still deciphering some of the nuances of the game. It's not bad. I thought the graphics would have been much improved. I had the ESPN game a while back and I would say that the graphics on NBA Live 08 are just slightly better.

Other than that the game seems to flow pretty well. It's not too difficult to pick up on. I didn't read any directions or anything. just turned it on and started playing. It's pretty intuitive.

The game is limitedly good and not so good  (Rating: 3 out of 5)

The term chocolate has been thrown around these days. People think it what fat people eat to fell happy. As for others, they think its good for the soul like "Chicken Soup". I think it is Good and BAD! Here's why.

Good- It tastes good. The world knows, heck, everyone knows it is good tasting. It comes in different varieties like Hersheys, Nestle, 3 M's, Twix, and a hell lot more! It is insane... in a good way.

BAD- Here is where I talk about the game. Ahem............... PEOPLE IN THIS GAME LOOK LIKE THEY EAT CHOCOLATE FOR A LIVING!!!!!! RAY ALLEN IS small and somewhat short, BUT HE AND THE WHOLE NBA SHORT PEOPLE WOULD LOOK LIKE OOMPA LOOMPAS IF THEY WORE KIDS AGES 7-8 CLOTHES!!!!!!!!!!!! This game wasn't made for encouraging the overdigestion of chocolate... it was used for total domination of others by cheating by putting studs on your teams and beating up teenagers!

Fun Rating: Chocolate- The deal is choco is fun, so I give it a 4/5.

Game- I gave NBA Live 08 a 4/5 because me and my chumps went to the edit screen, made oompa loompa outfits in XL sizes and guess what, we put them on the screen and Shaq was too big. The plus side is that we dressed up Dirk, Kobe, Wade, the Denver Nuggets, and had the perfect size for your cover boy, Gilly Areneas or whatever his name is.

Final thoughts- Well my interview is over. Say this interview is good and i'll either stop or put more reviews. Leave a note and i'll read it. Thanks, and please dont buy this game!
