Good choice for ipod nano armband (Rating: 4 out of 5) I have owned 3 different armbands for my ipod nano, and this has been the best. I use it both with and without my Nike+ adapter on it. Maybe it is just due to stretching out, but I find that the buttons line up better with the armband and my ipod with the adapter versus without it, as then it tends to be too low in the pouch.
I feel I have rather normal sized arms for a girl (DEFINITELY don't have "stick" arms) yet I do have trouble getting the armband to feel tight enough for my runs, and it tends to slide and I have to readjust it as I am running. If my arms were any smaller I don't know if I could effectively use this product.
Only other thing is that the product does tend to stink from repeated sweating and use, but the nice thing is it is easily machine washable.
Overall good product.
Nice product, but probably costs $15 for the armband and $15+ for the Nike swoosh, but I still bought one! (Rating: 4 out of 5) I use my armband about 3-4x/week. It's comfortable, holds my ipod securely, and, amazingly, lets me access and use the ipod wheel controls while it's encased in this polyester, nylon, and spandex coccoon.
Plusses:
1) The wide armband keeps my ipod from swinging around on my arm the way my former narrower armband used to do.
2) The large velcro patches provide a secure closure.
3) The band is comfortable on my arm - the spandex sees to that.
4) It's easily adjustable with the large velcro patches.
5) The window allows me to see what's on.
6) The fabric provides enough resistance to hold my ipod securely, yet it also allows the wheel control its complete functionality. I can change tracks easily, and adjust the volume control as well.
Minuses:
1) Cost...as indicated in the title of this review, I think you pay a lot for the Nike swoosh.
2) There is not a convenient way to wind up, shorten, or secure extra headphone cord.
3) Um...that's about it.
There are many more plusses than minuses with this unit.
All in all I'm extremely pleased with this unit, and if it weren't for the high price I'd give it 5 stars. But since this unit comes with a significant price tag I need to knock off one star.
eh service (Rating: 3 out of 5) Did not here from them for a while and then it was just to tell me that they were out of stock. I wish it didn't take 2 weeks of waiting for them to tell we that!
GREAT PRODUCT! (Rating: 5 out of 5) Fits my little arm and my boyfriends big arm perfectly! It has a comfortable material and doesn't slide around like other IPOD holders! Great buy!
Just what i was hoping for... (Rating: 5 out of 5) I got the Nike+ when it originally came out and for a long time did not like the fact that the first armband did not have a window to see the Ipod. I can see where some people may prefer not to worry about how many calories they have burned or how far they have run until they are finished, but I thought it made it more difficult to get started on a run.
I also find it helpful to periodically check to make sure that it's actually running...I had a good run wasted because I apparently forgot to hit the start button. The music was playing, but the Nike+ part was not started, so a window in this armband, was a must have.
