The CP9190 kit is simple and easy to use. The included OBD I/II cables provide both data and power connections, while the USB cable offers a quick and easy way to connect your scanner to your PC. In addition to connecting to the computer for Internet updates, you'll also appreciate the CP9185's USB connectivity because it makes printing DTCs and other information a breeze. Once the scanner is connected to your vehicle, the user-friendly menu provides a variety of information in a snap. This device displays OBD II enhanced functionality with graph data (1996 and newer), O2 monitor tests, state emissions, and even reads, records and displays live sensor data so you know what's happening with your vehicle as you make adjustments. Other features include an OBD II code library built right into the tool, an OBD II drive cycle mode, battery power so you can review diagnostic data even when the scanner is disconnected from your vehicle, and a trilingual (English, Spanish, French) mode.

Another important thing to remember is that all emission testing facilities will fail a vehicle that has the "check engine" light illuminated at the time of the test -- even if it is only lit to remind you of a past-due oil change or 60,000-mile tune-up. With this scanner, you can shut off the check engine light and pass the emissions test on your terms. The menu also alerts you of any pending DTCs and reads the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) status. By reading the MIL status the scanner gives insight into what might cause your "check engine" light to turn on in the near future. In this way, the scanner also provides some preventive measures to help you keep a close eye on your vehicle's systems. I ordered a CP9190 and the scanner I received is a 9185. According to Actron this is not the wrong scanner a 9185 becomes a 9190 when it is shipped in a hardcase with many different cables.

I bought this scanner to reset the maintence required lite in my 1992 dodge caravan, this scanner will not reset this light so I am very disappointed in the scanner.

It has done all I asked it to and all the accessories were with it. I plan to ask it more in the future as I haven't had a chance to hook it up to the computer and upload data for review yet. But in the short time i have had it, it had been a tremendous help.

I bought this product after having taken my 2002 GMC truck to the shop four(4) times repeatedly for the check engine light coming on. I spent $342 trying to fix the problem. After checking my truck with the new scanner I found that all I needed was an $11 gas cap to stop check engine light from coming on. Never again will I be taken advantage of by the service department.

I found the 9190 to be a great tool. It provides all the data I was looking for and displays in graph form data streems that I was needing to see. The Snap On scantools are much more exspensive and the Actron makes looking into ones own car service affordable. Thanks Actron
