Not as bright as I would have liked for underneath shelf on a bookcase to highlight a fish bowl. Plus, how do you change bulbs without taking it down and ruining the self-adhesive tape?

I had expected a light source that could be used, say, to illuminate a closet, or counter space under kitchen cabinets; in fact these are basically stick-up flashlights! Very bright and easy to use, but alas, a targeted beam that does not provide any ambient lighting.

You do NOT need to remove the adhesived back, despite the commentary by another "reviewer" -- the instructions explain how you can just take off the top portion to replace the batteries.

It is not a blindingly effective light, but it does work. The Dot-Its were recommend to us by folks on the Scion xb boards -- the light in the interior isn't suffcient. The Dot-Its work very well and fit nicely throughout dark spots. The adhesive is very strong.

TO REPLACE THE BATTERY YOUR HAVE TO OPEN THE BACK, THAT MEANS YOU HAVE REMOVE IT FROM WHERE ITS STUCK, OPEN THE BACK AND RE-STICK IT AGAIN THUS LOOSING THE STRENGTH OF THE ORIGINAL GLUE
