I usually get the oil change from nissan dealer or chain garages, so I never notice the different after the serveice was performed. They all provide me with cheap oild and cheap oil filter. I decide to do the oil change myself becasue it's cheaper even when I use expensive filter and oil. After I manage to fit myself under my car and remove the old filter. My first impression was the size of the purator filter. It's about 30-50% longer than the cheap one but still fit in my nissan. Test drive after first oil change went well and I could felt that the engine run smoother within the first week. My guess is the purator provide more flow for the engine. Next oil change I will put full syn mobile1 into my car and it will run like a dream forever.

This is by far the bet oil filter out there . It removes 99.99% of the metals and other contaniments - Highly Recommended

Is there any possibility this is a knock off? With a price so low seems too good to be true.

Bought several twin-paks of this filter for my BLUE Honda VTX 1300. Have read numerous reviews on the quality of this filter, and am a stickler when it comes to mechanical issues. This is a great filter, lots of surface area internally for continued flow, even after extended use.

Filter arrived painted an extrememly UGLY gold, rough (grip) finish. I'm glad it's under the bike.

I was perusing the reviews and came across one that gave this excellent filter only one star. All because it came in a different color other than the advertised blue. I have been using these filters for several years on several different make vehicles. They truly perform their job. The reason for the different color is that Purolator has improved their filter container and it is now in a textured matte yellow. The texture makes it easier to grab when oil has come in contact with the surface. So it is now actually, a more rugged looking, easier to handle filter at a great price.
