NASCAR 07 (Rating: 4 out of 5) This game is nice, since it keeps the NASCAR games going, but there are several things that are just terrible. First, most of the special paint schemes are not included. The only ones are for terrible drivers like David Stremme, and only a few decent drivers like Gregg Biffle. Then, all the create a car numbers are 100's. I was always 64! But not anymore, now it is very unrealistic in that sense. The NASCAR games went from fake, but fun, then to real and fun, now it is fake and boring. I still enjoy the game, because the actual racing is more fun than before. But the things that NASCAR Thunder 2003 was based on are gone now. The pit stops aren't as exciting as they were.
Then came the fake sponsors. It takes so much out of the game when you pass the Coffee Blasts Cereal car for the lead. At least they kept the real sponsors in between. Overall, this game shows promise for NASCAR 08: Car of Tomorrow, which WILL be released on PS2, if EA doesn't screw it up worse than it already has.
Nascar 2007 (Rating: 5 out of 5) Very realistic! Exciting game to play. I never really got into Nascar untill my son got this game. Now we are fans.
Realistic Racing (Rating: 1 out of 5) Well personally I havent got a new NASCAR game since 2005. There's no realistic flips, and you have complete control of your car when you spin out, damage is just rigid graphics with black paint. On Fight to the Top mode you can't join a actual race team. Also if there's a wreck the whole field stops on a dime at 186 mph and the car won't stop like that for me, real life cars keep goin' and can only slow and avoid not stop and wait. Anyone Agree? Also that share draft thing that pops up above the cars annoys me terribly. NASCAR 98 was funner then these games.
Nascar 07 (Rating: 3 out of 5) I bought the game for my brother for xmas and he seems to enjoy it. However, Amazon never notified me that the game would be better played with a steering wheel.
Not for those who are looking for realism, (Rating: 3 out of 5) EA Sports is putting too much effort into what add-ons they can create instead of the racing itself. Pit-stop graphics of the people who change your tires was cool...once. They continue to have graphic flow problems if all cars pit at once as well (Not smooth at all). Also, not the best game to buy if you don't own a wheel of some sort to use. Very hard to drive using a hand held controller. I would rather EA pay more attention to actual racing and car-handling vice worrying so much about adding a phone for "NEXTEL" and email functions etc. Paleez. Build a game that represents the sport vice the sponsors. Fun to play. Don't get me wrong. Cool stuff to play with in addition to the racing. Just that the racing isn't that good. My kids and I all love NASCAR and their games. None of us are real interested in this one. It's getting old quick. Buy one used for $15 or so and don't by new unless you have to collect them all.
