Right image, wrong product (Rating: 1 out of 5) This product shows as "Discontinued by Manufacturer". However, Amazon will still accept the order and relay it to the original seller. They, in turn, will send you the NEW docking station that does not have the S-Video output. Caveat emptor.
Great but not must have! (Rating: 4 out of 5) I have had various iPods over the years but I just picked up the Apple Universal Dock for the 5G Video iPod. Overall, it's a solid dock that does everything it claims to do but take a look if you need to purchase this dock.
The dock and power adaptor used to be included in the ipods, however in order to cut costs they were added as optional accessories. If you're a person who likes to have a fully loaded package then definitely pick this up. I'm currently using this to connect to my stereo and TV and gives a nice clean look and helps hide the cables.
Just remember to review the extras that you need for some of your applications that are not included. For myself, I have the remote included with my Macbook Pro, extra cable from an older iPod, and a power adaptor as well so this made sense to myself.
It's definitely looks great but definitely pass if you have other accessories to buy.
The Agent18 case works with this well (Rating: 5 out of 5) This dock has all the conviences for making your ipod stand up, and not only that, it has an optional remote for control from afar. If you have an agent 18 video shield kit(or plan on getting one) it comes with it's own universal dock adapter, making it really versatile. I have a variety of ipods and this allows me to dock them all in the same dock to my stereo. However if you don't allready have the AV cables and/or an extra sync cable, I would recmmend the ipod AV connection kit, which includes a dock, remote, AV cables, and a sync cable. All for only ($) I have these allready so i just got the dock to tie it all together.
great product (Rating: 5 out of 5) Many products in one, it has the house charger, an extra usb cable, mini plug to rca cable, and the cradle to rca with remote control (you cant browse songs with the remote that is the only problem)
