Works well! (Rating: 5 out of 5) Very nice tire gauge and handy to have in your car.
Keeping your tire pressures in check can not only prolong the life of your tires, but also improve handling, braking and as well provide improved fuel milage.
This thing will pay itself off in a couple of months if used properly :)
Accutire MS-4350B Programmable Digital Tire Guage (Rating: 4 out of 5) I find this product to be very easy to use and it fits nicely in my glove box. It took a couple of tries to get used to it, but after that it was a breeze.
Just what I expected (Rating: 5 out of 5) Just what you'd need to check your tire pressure, very accurate and the white LED light is a plus. Remember you should read you tire pressure on cold tires (preferably in the morning) since air expands while hot.
Needs an o-ring - my fix (Rating: 4 out of 5) I also found it difficult to get a good seal with this gauge. I first tired cutting a piece of rubber to fit, but without proper tools (hollow punches of exactly the right size), I could not get it.
Then I bought a 5/16" o-ring from Ace Hardware. It fit perfectly, but I could not get the gauge to work. Maybe the o-ring was too thick, or too hard.
Then I noticed that the old pencil gauge had a rubber gasket in it. I removed it, and saw that it was about twice as thick as what I needed, so I cut it in half with a sharp scissors. Put it in the Accutire gauge, fit perfectly, and now the Accutire seals with no loss of air. Hey Accutire - are you listening?
Good enough for the price (Rating: 4 out of 5) I bought 2 of these, one for my father and one for me and both work good. I was concerned about old reviews of this tire gauge but it seems to me that Accutire solved the problem. Sometimes still some air get out so you have to be fast to press the gauge to the tire.
