This a/c adaptor works fine for my compaq v2000. I do not recommend buying from this vendor! I paid for express shipping and they sent it regular mail.

Beware this product. It did not work with my Compaq. A waste of money.

Oh the disappointment and anguish I felt on the day I plugged this into my craptastic laptop. I threw up a little in my mouth when I realized this did not work.

A waste of $20 dollars. Many a Ramen noodles were eaten the week I wasted my money on this. I tell you. I was forced to eat dog food because I had no money for food because I purchased this item.

Beware.

I had to purchase this quickly after a colleague borrowed, and then left my original adapter (which after a year's worth of constant use was in great shape) at an airport gate. After about a month of using this Battery Biz adapter under normal work conditions (bringing it to work in the morning, plugging in, bringing it back at night, plugging in), the black wrapping around the cable began to pull away from where the wire joins the plug. I had to make a splint of electrical tape to keep the wires inside from fraying and shorting out. I'm not sure how long this will last, however.

I now understand why the Compaq original equipment version is so much pricier, however. When this one goes (notice I wrote when and not if), if I am not planning to replace the computer at that point, I will go back to the OEM version.

This product, when plugged into my computer, caused interference on my TV in the same room. I could not connect to my dial-up due to interference on the phone line. It also caused various programs on my computer to not work properly. I contacted the vendor, and returned the product for a full refund. I then bought an adapter from HP, which works fine. No more fake parts for my computer!

I'm assuming that other people have other laptops in the V2000 series. This product does NOT fit into my HP V2000 laptop. I'm off to the HP website to buy the real replacement part since I'll know it works.
