Fun Dog toy (Rating: 4 out of 5) CONS: The tail came off, the batteries are really a pain to insert, the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery.
PROS: Our dog (pug) LOVES toy. He plays with it even without a tail. We let him play with it for about one hour a day and he never loses interest!
I would buy this again!
You Can't Make Every Cat Happy... (Rating: 5 out of 5) THIS is the ball that I had been searching for. It runs on an internal AA battery that makes it zig-zag and bounce away from walls, items, etc. It is hard plastic. The tail is a nifty item, but not necessary, even though my cat likes furry stuff. The batteries will die down after a while and you do have to manually replace them, but is that such a big deal? It is not so great on rugs, but vinyl or concrete floors are perfect for it. Cat get nutty playing with this!
My Dog LOVES this item (Rating: 5 out of 5) My shih tzu just loves this item. I do not use it with the batteries, that part he is not to fond of. But this is his favorite toy. He grabs the tail and just whips it around and growls at it. He chases it and can go on and on for hours. My cats did not like it, with or without batteries. But I have 2 of them for my dog. If he ever loses them I will HAVE to replace it for him.
Do Not Recommend (Rating: 1 out of 5) I bought this toy for my late cat, who was afraid of it. Like other reviewers said, it was also a hassle to turn on and off, because it had to be unscrewed and the on/off button was directly on the part that made the toy move around. It is also a fairly large ball (a little smaller than a baseball), so it may be too big for some cats and kittens. We have a new kitten now, and I haven't even gotten it out for her.
Basically, avoid this.
OK Toy, but not the best. (Rating: 3 out of 5) My dad got this toy for my kitten, it was very good at first, but it was very hard to shut off. I think this toy is fun but my kitten was afraid of it, until we shut it off. I think thos would ONLY make a good cat toy. Don't you?
