Amazon.com Product DescriptionMemorex double-layer DVD+R discs burn at two depths on a single side, giving them twice the storage capacity of traditional DVD+R discs. Compatible with most 2.4x DVD+R burners, each disc holds 8.5 GB of digital video, music, photos, or other file types. That's enough for approximately four hours of video playback when recorded in SP mode or up to 12 hours in EP mode, making the discs an ideal choice for long-length programming such as sporting events or epic films. They can also store around 18 hours of CD-quality audio or 800,000-plus office documents, depending on the size of the files. Memorex uses high-end organic dye when making the DVD+R discs, ensuring high-quality recording and playback. The company also covers the discs with a one-year warranty against defects.
Product DescriptionDVD+R Dual Layer media is the newest technology breakthrough in optical discs. The advanced, single-sided disc has an amazing 8.5GB of storage capacity, enough for up to four hours of DVD-quality video, 16 hours of VHS-quality video, or over 120 hours of MP3 audio. New technology allows material to be either read or recorded on one layer without affecting material on the other layer. An important advantage of the double-layer configuration is convenience. It allows users to read, write, or view nearly twice the amount of data than with the currently popular single-layer 4.7GB DVD discs without having to flip sides or change discs. This new media is compatible with most of the current DVD video players and DVD-ROM drives as well as new DVD+R DL drives and is ideal for virtually any business or household application. Pack includes 3 discs Jewel cases
dual layer dvd disk for what? (Rating: 1 out of 5) I STILL AM NOT SURE WHY I PURCHASED THESE (6) DUAL LAYER DVD'S AFTER ONE YEAR ON MY SHELF, I TRIED TO BURN A DVD MOVIE ON ONE, AS IT WAS TOO LARGE FOR A STANDARD DVD AND IT COPIED HALF AND THEN QUIT, RUINING THE DUAL LAYER DISK AND LEAVING ME UNABLE TO MAKE A COPY OF THE MOVIE I WAS WANTING TO BACK UP. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE A REAL NEED FOR A DUAL LAYER DISK I WOULD NOT ADVISE YOU TO MAKE THE PURCHASE.
Waste of time and money (Rating: 1 out of 5) I was in a time crunch and needed a dvd-dl disc. Unfortunately the only brand available to me at the time was Memorex. I bought the 3 pack, and despite all my attempts, the entire 3 pack was completely worthless. I tried using my internal drive as well as my external drive, all a waste of time. Finally, I went out and bought my favorite brand, Verbatim, and everything worked like a charm on the very first try. Don't gamble with your money, don't buy Memorex.
memorex dvd+r dl (Rating: 5 out of 5) these disc were just right for the work i wanted to copy.i have stored many years of photo's on these disc and save much needed space on my computer.
10 pack photo for a 3 pack...FALSE ADVERTISING (Rating: 1 out of 5) This price seemed too good to be true. The description wasn't clear enough but reading through the ad and I finally got that it was only 3 discs in total even though the picture is of a 10 pack. I thought at first perhaps it was a ad for non Dual Layer. No... just a lot fewer discs.
Watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!
Memorex 2.4x 8.5 GB Double Layer DVD+R Pack (Rating: 5 out of 5) Worked fine. People just need to make sure they buy the right DVD format's for their hardware. THAT is the reason they sometimes have problems... its NOT one brand versus the other that causes the problems. People do.
