I thought these would keep my cat from killing birds, but this was a wish that didn't come true. However, it is a super fun toy, and makes a great "whizzzzzz" in the air when you whip it fast. They're pretty durable if you keep the cat from pulling all the little feathers off. My son did take them apart later, but they held on pretty well. I need more. And fast!

Petsmart used to carry this item, but they don't anymore. And the fact that I'm willing to pay for shipping on an item like this should tell you just how loved this toy is. (And the fact that there are refills and that I keep buying them should also tell you that kitties get pretty wild with this toy!)

In fact I have to keep it hidden in an upper cupboard because otherwise they'll find it -- I've had it in the medicine cabinet, the top shelf of the pantry, inside a 6' tall vertical tube on some exercise equipment -- they will go to great lengths to find this toy. You MUST order some extra "birds" to replace the original one! They love to bite it and will often try and march off with their prize once they catch it. Both of my cats LOVE this toy, it's far and away their favorite toy. You will get tired of it before they will!

Da Bird has become my Bengals favorite toy!! I had one closed in a bag and my cat took it out.On the stick it has her full attention,she will chase Da bird around the room.She loves if it's behind a pillow so she has to get it out and won't stop until it's out!THEN SHE ATTACKS IT!!The only problem is she used to play fetch,for hours,10-20 times and until the novelity of Da Bird were's off(maybe never the way she's going)I'll have wait for a 12 lbs.under a year old,retiver to feel like fetch.Dave F.

Our 3 cats LOVE this. I special ordered it b/c our pet store doesn't carry it & we had received one for a gift several years ago & it had "died". We ordered extra "birds" just in case we leave one out again & it gets "eaten".
