Product DescriptionYour dog will be occupied for hours trying to get his favorite biscuits or treats out of this durable, rubber ball!
Amazon.com ReviewA bored canine is a destructive canine, as anyone with a closet full of mangled shoes can attest. The answer? Put your dog to work. That pug may look sweet, but he's a natural born killer, genetically evolved to forage, hunt, chase and gnaw. When those natural urges are frustrated, he may develop problem behaviors like barking, digging, and yes, chewing shoes. Kong biscuit balls turn passive feeding into active play sessions that satisfy a dog's psychological and intellectual needs as well as his nutritional ones. Made from the same super-durable natural rubber as the classic Kong toy, the biscuit balls have a hollow center and four bone-shaped openings on the exterior to hold treats or dog food. This unique patented design dispenses rewards as your dog plays and chews. Use sticky foods like peanut butter or soft cheese like glue to make treats harder to remove, keeping dogs happy and busy for hours. Measuring 2-3/4 inches in diameter, the small biscuit ball is recommended for dogs under 20 pounds. As with all Kong toys, supervision is recommended when first giving a new plaything to your pet. Regularly inspect the biscuit ball and replace if damaged. Satisfaction is guaranteed; if either you or your dog aren't happy with your purchase, return within 30 days for a full refund. --Mary Park
Something for strong jaws (Rating: 5 out of 5) So far, Kong has been the only long lasting toy for my 8 month old pit bull. Everything else is torn to shreds. This kong ball is great for fetch, or for him to just sit and chew on. There are too many holds in the ball that make it really easy for a treat to be eaten, and on top of that there is an extra large space that allows the treats to just fall out rather quickly.
Even though this ball is meant to hold treats as its main selling point, i would recommend using it as just a strong ball that your dog can play with and not destroy quickly.
GREAT, HOLDS UP VERY WELL (Rating: 5 out of 5) Our Golden Retriever has had this ball for over 9 months, and it is only now showing VERY, VERY small tears in it. I am sure it will last another year or so.
The dog loves it, and always has it around, it is great to stuff it full of dog biscuits and try to have him push it around to get the biscuits out, or put a little peanut butter inside it for him to get at.
Would recommend.
dental ball better (Rating: 2 out of 5) Was hard to keep it filled and my puppy didnt like to play with it for some reason, she liked the other ball they have the dental one much better. One plus..it bounces good.
My sheltie loves this! (Rating: 5 out of 5) While dog biscuits don't last 5 minutes in this ball with my sheltie, this ball will keep my little boy busy for over half an hour when I fill it with mashed banana or other fruit, yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, or his "real meals", ground meat with veggies, and then freeze it (makes him work harder for the goodies inside). I then place it either on our enclosed concrete patio that I can hose off, or in his doggie "playpen" out on the lawn, and my little guy goes nuts for it. Excellent mental stimulation, and much better than him just snarfing up his food in 20 seconds from his food bowl. We've had this over a year and a half, with no signs of wear. AND, it cleans up in the dishwasher! Highly recommended.
Kong Large Biscuit Ball (Rating: 5 out of 5) I bought this Kong Biscuit Ball about two weeks ago for my newly-adopted German Shepherd Dog. My oberservations are:
1) The Kong is made from very solid and durable hard rubber.
2) The openings are large so it is easy to put in biscuits, but ordinary dog food will easily fall out.
3) My dog plays with the ball infrequently. Usually only when there are treats inside. However, I'm sure all dogs are different.
4) The Kong should last a long time even if it's constantly chewed on.
