The Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster is really three devices in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect Wireless-G, Wireless-B, and other performance-enhanced SpeedBooster devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.The Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster incorporates the next generation of Wireless-G (802.11g) networking. SpeedBooster technology is a compatible add-on to standard Wireless-G, which increases "real-world" wireless network performance by up to 35%. Unlike other speed-enhancing technologies, SpeedBooster is fully 802.11 compliant, and a "good neighbor" to other wireless devices and technologies, using a single 2.4GHz channel as specified by the official wireless standard. And, unlike other technologies, with SpeedBooster you'll see an overall speed improvement even when running a mixed network of SpeedBooster and regular Wireless-G devices.

When it comes to setting it up, it's pretty easy. All you have to do is plug the cable into the modem, and than it's pretty good to go. Then, open up the laptop, and go to the Connections, and you will see the option, and then you should click it.

There is Software, which i don't really like. It stresses that you have to run the CD first. So, i did, and when i did so, and followed everything, it said that it couldn't connect to the internet, which was very silly. It said that i had to plug it in with a wire, and all of that first, which i did, but in the end, it didn't connect.

So, i just did it as normal, and it worked
The internet is great, my satellite laptop
makes it all the easier too, it's great.

Don't like the software though

this router is really user friendly to set up, it has a wizard that guides you through the entire configuration process. I like it pretty much

Pros: Simple, short and sweet! Setup out of the box was a breeze, I did follow the cd's instruction's and there were absolutely no hangups or problems! I added my server, 2 desktops and 3 laptops that float around. No matter where the laptops are at they always get good reception. I have a jump drive ready for my friends when they come over and want to surf the net, all they have to do is run the stub on my jumpdrive and ta-da they are on! I am pleased!

Cons: I cannot delete people off of my network once they get on there, sure I allow them to get on there but I want to delete some off of my overpopulated network. Also, there aren't any mounts on the physical product so that I can easily mount it on the wall behind my monitor, but that is just getting picky!

I used it to create a wireless network to connect an XBOX 360 and sat tv box to wireless network. Works great with very limited lag.

We had a different router and were unable to get a signal on the second floor of our house. Now with the Linksys WRTG54GS - coupled with a range expander - we get a strong signal throughout the house.

Linksys customer service was very helpful. The router was simple to set up. We had some issues getting it and the range expander to work together.

I recommend the router and Linksys.
