Tootin' Our Laser. We don't like to brag, but it's tough not to in a case like this. This is a wonderful pen-shaped laser pointer, 5-1/4" long, flat black with gold pocket clip and head. It throws a red point a loong way (we've thrown it two city blocks at night, and it would've gone farther, but buildings got in the way). And what are we so proud of? We've seen a very similar item-not identical, mind you, but essentially the same-in one of those glossy, toys-for-grown-men catalogs. Their price? $40! We're proud not to be profit-mongers; buy it here and you can take pride in your smart shopping habits. Batteries included.

While it does have a nice metal body the quality is rather poor.
It also broke after a week of normal use.
I will now have to invest in a more expensive and hopefully better laser pointer.

The product did not work when it first arrived but after the problem was reported the company called and had it fixed within a minute. Great follow up service and the pointer now works as expected.

Aside from the obvious reasons people buy these little gatchets ours is mostly used as a doggie toy. Our dog loves to run after that "little red dot" and likes to dig for it if you hold it in one spot. He likes it so much that he already gets excited if we pick up a pen because he thinks it is the laser pointer. This one is a good quality product and has lasted us a lot longer than our first one.

I ordered this pointer to use as a backup during a conference. It is a nice toy, does not have a solid feel of a pointer that costs 3 or 4 times more. You feel the relative flimsiness when you open it to put in the batteries and then screw the top and bottom together. On the plus side - it performed flawlessly during a day-long conference, and the slim metal box in which it arrived provided good protection
PS - after using this pointer at a couple of conferences I wish I could upgrade my review to 5 stars. The pointer works very well, and I noticed that my colleagues always select this pointer from among several on the table.

Laser pointer used to point highlights on our prototypes behind a long rack of lights. Makes it easy to pinpoint imperfections. The guys in the shop just love it. Totally recommend it.
