Product Description

Make your own favorite burger side at home using this French Fry Cutting Disc. Slices your favorites, including sweet potatoes into uniform sized fries so you can bake or deep fry to perfection. Use it for fruits, like melon to make a striking salad or garnish. Fits any Cuisinart 7- and 11-cup model food processors.

Amazon.com Review

Deep-fried, oven-roasted, or tossed in a sauté pan... everybody loves french fries--or, as an alternative, sweet potato fries. Cuisinart's precisely engineered blade cuts uniform strips from whole potatoes, yams, turnips, zucchini, eggplant, or anything else you can think of, into just the right size to produce a crisp outside and tender interior. It's also useful for cutting vegetables for crudités and preparing fruit for salads and preserves. Made of stainless steel and dishwasher-safe, it comes with a limited three-year warranty. --Victoria Jenkins

Customer Reviews

VERY USEFUL!  (Rating: 5 out of 5)

I use often and it cuts my prep time a considerable amount (pun intended).

Easy to wash, easy to use, easy to highly recommend!

Ok product  (Rating: 3 out of 5)

I was hoping to be able to cut fries a little bigger with this blade but I undertand food processors have their limits. It is a good product. Sweet potatoes get stuck in the blade easily so you must clear blade a lot.

Definitely works  (Rating: 4 out of 5)

I bought this for my hubby as a Christmas gift because he is the french fry maker in our house.....for some reason I thought the fries would be thick cut fries, but they are more like McDonald fries (long and thin). So if you are looking for Micky D fries, this is your blade. If you want them a little thicker, then I don't think this is what you are looking for.

Adds interest to soups & stews...  (Rating: 5 out of 5)

I opted to use this blade for carrots and other veggies to pique interest in soups and stews where one expects the usual rounds. I also used it on raw potaoes intended for traditional corned beef hash and found that after a good rinse, they cooked up and incorporated well in this recipé. I liked the results as well for 'au gratins' and other casseroles where one expects boring slices, for which I have neither the time nor patience. I like "chunky" dishes which have textures and varying discerable tastes.

Not made for sweet potatoes.  (Rating: 4 out of 5)

We've been eating more sweet potatoes and yams as healthy alternative to white potatoes. Usually I slice them and drizzle with olive oil and bake, so I thought slicing them as fries would be more appealing to kids (and less expensive than the frozen ones at the health food co-op). I used this disc in my Cuisinart Prep 11 plus. It turns out that yams and sweet potatoes are alot more firm than white potatoes. The light gold colored ones sliced up a little better than the dark red ones, but both colors were a bit of a hassle, getting stuck in the blade and jamming it up.
Works great on white potatoes though, and I'm looking forward to using it on other vegetables for stir fries and salads.
