Product DescriptionA new collection of recipes, many featured on her popular show on the Food Network, capture the fun of home-cooking.
Longer than 30-Minute Meals (Rating: 3 out of 5) The problem with this cookbook is that, although many of the recipes are quite good, they generally take longer than 30 minutes to prepare. Perhaps they take 30 minutes if you are a professional cook. I agree with other reviewers that the show is better. That is why I have not purchased any more of her cookbooks. That and the fact that she became a spokesperson for Dunkin Donuts. Seriously-!? She doesn't earn enough money from her shows and prolific new cookbooks? I feel like she sold out.
RR2 review (Rating: 3 out of 5) We found the food to be good, but watch out for the sticker shock. We found that most meals cost $35-60 to buy all of the ingredients. At that price we would rather just go out to dinner. So we have stopped using the book and it is now holding down our bookshelf.
Rachael makes cooking fun! (Rating: 5 out of 5) I never knew I had the capacity to find such joy in cooking until I was inspired by Rachael Ray and her 30 minute meals. Her style suits me perfectly. After a day at work, I like to move quickly in the kitchen, and whip a nice meal together in minimal time. Love to use basic everyday items and fewer ingredients, yet have a healthful, flavorful, and interesting meal. I was dry on dinner ideas when I discovered Rachael Ray's show. Now I get excited to cook a meal. My husband and son have appreciated the results. This book has been a source of many new favorites.
Great for a beginner cook (Rating: 3 out of 5) I purchased this book both for my boss that does not have much time with her family and a friend that is just passing her hamburger helper stage of her culinary experience. Both loved this book and claim to use it.
Yum-o (Rating: 5 out of 5) After looking as all of Rachel Ray's cookbook I settled on this book because it had a passport section. Meal plans for your tongue to travel the globe while you rest at home. This book I found easy to follow and not intimidating.
