decent watch but far from advertised (Rating: 3 out of 5) I have gone through 3 of these now. I find them advantagous for me as I travel overseas a lot. It helps. The charging feature works well for a year or so, then it craps out.
Superior Watch (Rating: 5 out of 5) I am very pleased with the quality of this watch. The steel band should make it last; I have always had to retire my watches long before the watch died because the band went and I could not find a suitable replacement, but no more!
Good watch but.... (Rating: 3 out of 5) Interesting to hear that others have had charging problems with their G-Shock solars - as I did. It is unfortunate that a solar charged battery doesn't last as long as a traditional one. And - that's the problem. Not the charging system, but the battery. I changed my battery, and I'm all good. However, many/most people would not be able to tackle this successfully.
Thought I liked it (Rating: 1 out of 5) Had it about 6 months and it died and flashed charge. The next day it was on but I can not get the battery indicator to go past one. I have an E on the radio signal and can not update time anymore. Sears was no help when I tried to return it. They said I could take it where they send warentee work.
I was able to set the time manually but for this kind of money I expected much more. G shocks are not what they used to be.
love it while it works (Rating: 2 out of 5) After reading other's review, I think I am lucky. the watch's solar power died after 3 years of solid service. It's extreme accurate, no problem receive signal at California. No need to do any daylight saving time or any other adjustment. The only problem is, it solar charging system died. I originally plan to keep it for 10 years, like my Toyota. Now, I probably will look into other watch that has 5 or 10 years battery life. The tough solar really didn't help.
