Product DescriptionMusic just doesn't get more portable than this! This MP3 player is big on features like inline encoding, voice recorder and eight EQ pre-sets. One AA battery gives you up to 42 hrs. of playback. The 4-line LCD screen gives full view of ID3 tag information and SRS WOW technology, which provides vivid 3D sound enhancement. You can also store and transfer PC files and music files with a simple drag-and-drop from your Windows OS.
Great mp3 player ! But upgrade the firmware ... (Rating: 5 out of 5) I had bought the yp-mt6x (512MB) first and then found this 1G player. I needed a small player that uses AA batteries, there aren't many available. This one is great !! I had trouble loading it to full capacity until I upgraded the firmware. I installed v3.180 and have since had zero problems. This firmware works for mt6x and mt6z and probably the other mt6's as well. I am completely happy with this player, so happy that I bought one for me and one as a gift. It is extremely easy to use and has great sound.
Don't sweat it! (Rating: 2 out of 5) If you are planning on using this mp3 player to workout, get something else. I got a little sweat on mine and it quit working.
I liked it (Rating: 3 out of 5) I lost this player, but when I had it it worked great. I like how if you turn it off and on, it plays the song that was last there before you turned it off
Great Little Player (Rating: 5 out of 5) Had this for several years. The audio quality is great. The volume is good enough to continue my long march towards deafness and its slow consumption of AA batteries would make Al Gore proud.
controls: excellent, very little chance of accidentally jumping tracks when I meant to adjust the volume.
track ordering:
I haven't used its play list feature much (at all). I have organized my tracks in folders and either shuffled the whole player or just played the contents of a folder sequentially.
syncing:
It shows up as a thumb drive, so copying works well. Equally useful is the Windows Media Player's sync feature (yeah, Microsoft seems to have finally gotten that right for the non Zune side of things).
e-books (Rating: 2 out of 5) Purchased this item primarily to listen to downloaded digital books.
The fault I find is: It dosn't hold my place in the book, if I change to radio or music. Result, once I begin listening to a book I pretty much don't switch to another mode until the end of the book.
